BETHESDA, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 5, 2007--USEC Inc. (NYSE:USU) announced today that Jim Bolon has joined USEC as director of engineering, procurement and construction for the American Centrifuge Plant in Piketon, Ohio.
Bolon has more than 28 years of experience in operations and program and project management, including integrated safety management and security. He previously served as executive vice president of Theta Pro2Serve Management Company LLC, a contractor to the U.S. Department of Energy at the former Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant site in Piketon.
Bolon also held positions as general manager of decontamination and decommissioning operations for British Nuclear Fuels Limited Inc. and as deputy manager and project manager for Lockheed Martin Energy Systems at the Y-12 uranium enrichment processing plant in Oak Ridge, Tenn.
A retired U.S. Navy officer, Bolon received a master's degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee as well as both master's and bachelor's degrees in nuclear engineering from Pennsylvania State University. He will report to Victor Lopiano, vice president, American Centrifuge.

As America's only commercial uranium enrichment facility using U.S. centrifuge technology, the American Centrifuge Plant will play an important role in America's energy security.
