BETHESDA, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 5, 2008--Peter B. Saba will join USEC Inc. (NYSE:USU) as vice president, general counsel and secretary effective April 4. He will be proposed to the USEC board of directors for election as an officer shortly after that date. Saba will serve as USEC's principal legal and corporate governance officer.
Saba, a graduate of the Harvard Law School, brings extensive legal experience in both the private and government sectors to USEC. Previously, Saba was of counsel in the global projects group at Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP. There he advised clients on the implementation of new federal government insurance and loan guarantee programs for the development of advanced nuclear power plants.
Saba also served as chief operating officer and as senior vice president for legal affairs and general counsel at the Export-Import Bank of the United States. Saba's experience also included service as principal deputy assistant secretary in the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Domestic and International Energy Policy.
