USEC Names Stephen S. Greene as Treasurer

BETHESDA, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 9, 2007--The Board of Directors of USEC Inc. (NYSE:USU) has named Stephen S. Greene as the Company's vice president responsible for finance and treasurer. Greene will report to John C. Barpoulis, senior vice president and chief financial officer. Barpoulis was previously treasurer.

Greene will be responsible for financings, corporate strategic and financial planning, risk management, treasury operations, pension and benefit investments, and mergers and acquisitions.

"We are very pleased to add Steve's extensive experience in the energy industry and in financing large capital projects. His background, combined with the strong finance team already in place, is precisely what USEC needs as we undertake financing and building the American Centrifuge Plant over the next several years," Barpoulis said.

Prior to joining USEC, Greene was a vice president and executive director of Pace Global Energy Services in Fairfax, Va. Previously, Greene was a vice president at Progress Energy, where he was responsible for strategic planning. Prior to that, Greene was with PG&E National Energy Group, where he managed finance, market analysis, and commercial structuring activities. He has been responsible for investment and financing transactions in excess of $1 billion. Greene began his career as a policy analyst with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Greene received a bachelor of arts degree in physics from Princeton University. He also earned a master's degree in public policy from the John F. Kennedy School at Harvard University.
