USEC's Charles Yulish to Retire

BETHESDA, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 13, 2005--Charles Yulish, vice president corporate communications of USEC Inc. (NYSE:USU), will retire as of September 23, 2005.

Yulish joined the Company in 1995 and has been responsible for external and internal communications during the operation of USEC as a federal corporation and after its privatization in 1998 as an investor owned company. During this time, he has been the principal spokesperson for the Company.

"Charles has been an effective international spokesman and representative of the company. He has also been a creative force responsible for the successful branding of major corporate programs such as Megatons to Megawatts and the American Centrifuge. We appreciate his many contributions and wish him all the best," stated James R. Mellor, chairman and chief executive officer of USEC.

Yulish's service at USEC caps a 50-year career in nuclear energy, beginning with radioisotopes research and leading to positions with the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission, the Atomic Industrial Forum (now the Nuclear Energy Institute) and head of several international public relations firms specializing in energy communications.
