Eby has substantial experience with the development and deployment of uranium processing and enrichment technologies, having been involved in various aspects of the U.S. gas centrifuge, gaseous diffusion and laser enrichment programs over a 20-year period working for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and its contractors.

He also served as site manager for DOE's Oak Ridge K-25 site.

Lopiano said, "In my experience working with Bob, he has demonstrated the skills in engineering, implementation and management that will ensure our program deploys the highest efficiency centrifuge machines for our planned facilities. We are very pleased he has agreed to lead our teams in Oak Ridge."

Eby earned both a bachelor and a master of science in chemical engineering from the University of Tennessee. He is the author of over 40 papers and presentations and is a co-author of three patents, two dealing with uranium processing.
